Prayer to Saint Clare of Montefalco
O Saint Clare,
virgin of the Cross,
in whose heart the Lord engraved
the mystery of His Passion,
teach us to make our hearts His dwelling place.
Obtain for us the grace
to bear our trials with courage,
to accept the cross He chooses for us,
and to be renewed in prayer
until we are conformed to His image.
Amen.
Intercede for us, that our hearts may be pure,
generous, and steadfast, |
loving God above all
and our neighbor without measure, |
so that, following your example, |
we may one day share
in the blessedness of the eternal kingdom. |
O Saint Clare,
in whose heart the Lord revealed the mystery of the Holy Trinity,
teach us to adore the Father,
follow the Son,
and live by the Spirit’s light.
Obtain for us a heart
made pure and steadfast,
that we may dwell in the love
of the Blessed Trinity
and praise the eternal glory forever.

in whose heart was found the sign of the Crucified Lord, look with compassion on those who suffer
from illness of the heart,
in body or in spirit.
Obtain for us healing,
peace, and strength,
that we may bear our trials
with trust in God,
and love Him with all our heart,
now and forever.

O Saint Clare,
you bore the cross
in sickness and trial
with steadfast faith and serene heart.
Obtain for us the grace
to face our sufferings
without fear or complaint,
trusting in the mercy of God
and the victory of His Son.
