Amen.

O Saint Dymphna,
bright lily of purity
and courageous witness to the light,

you left all to walk calmly
toward the crown of martyrdom.

You know the weight of grief
and the shadows of the mind.

Look with mercy on all who suffer,
and on all who love them.

Grant us peace of mind,
purity of heart, and trust in Christ.

Teach us to carry our crosses with hope,

to resist temptation, and to rest, like you, in the hand of God,

where no torment can touch us.

Faithful daughter, compassionate sister, pray for us,

that we may behold the face of God,

and rejoice with you in His kingdom.

Sancta Dympna, quae ferri vincla reseras et captivos liberas,
ut mens nostra desinat esse caeca, ora pro nobis. Amen.

Saint Dympna, who breaks iron chains and frees captives,
so that our mind may cease to be blind, pray for us. Amen.

Prayer to Saint Dymphna for Protection of Caregivers

O guiding light, Saint Dymphna,

you who shine as a beacon of calm in the shadows of the mind,

stand beside all who are afflicted in thought or spirit.
You know the weight of confusion, the ache of fear, and the lonely roads walked in silence.

Obtain for us peace of mind,

clarity in the midst of turmoil,

and the steadfast trust that no darkness

can keep us from the light of Christ.

Guard those who suffer from despair,

lift the heavy heart,

and strengthen those who walk each day with unseen burdens.

May your intercession
bring healing
where the mind is wounded,

comfort where hope is faint,

and rest in the hand of God

where no torment can touch us.

Amen.

O compassionate intercessor,
Saint Dymphna,

you who bore the pain of loss with steadfast heart,

look with mercy on all who mourn.

You know the emptiness left
by those we love,

and the deep ache
that lingers in the soul.

Obtain for us the grace
of consolation,

to find light in the darkness of sorrow,

and to trust that in Christ,
no parting is forever.

Dry the tears of the weary,

steady the trembling spirit,

and guide the grieving into the shelter of God’s peace.

May your intercession
bring quiet hope,

bring steadfast comfort,

and lead us to the joy of reunion

in His eternal kingdom.

Amen.

O steadfast guardian,
Saint Dymphna,

you who walked beside the suffering with gentle strength,

look with kindness on all who tend to those in need.

You know the cost of compassion,

the weariness of long vigils,

and the hidden burdens carried in love.

Obtain for them
the grace of endurance,
patience in the midst of trials,

and the sure knowledge that their labor is a work of mercy.

Shield them from discouragement,

renew their minds and hearts,

and let them find rest in the presence of Christ.

May your intercession
bring courage when the way is hard,

bring peace when the heart is heavy,

and keep them always
in the shelter of God’s care.

Amen.

Prayer to Saint Dymphna for
Purity, Chastity, and Defending God's Law

O radiant lily, Saint Dymphna,
you who guarded the treasure of a pure heart

even unto the shedding of your blood,

look with mercy on all who strive for holiness of life.

You stood unshaken before threats and violence,

choosing the crown of virtue over the breath of life,

and defending without compromise the holy order of God’s creation

against every act that twists or defiles it,

and sealing your fidelity with the sacrifice of a martyr.

Obtain for us the grace of steadfast purity,

to love what is true, to reject what defiles,

and to walk in the light of Christ without fear.

Shield us from every snare of corruption,

from all that violates the law written by God upon the heart,

from the coercion that profanes innocence,

and from the pride that refuses God’s mercy.

Keep our hearts clean before Him,

our words honest, our gaze undefiled.

May your intercession
bring courage to the wavering,

strength to those under trial,

and joy to all who live in the freedom of a pure conscience.

Guide us to rest, as you now rest,

in the hand of God where no torment can touch us,

and lead us at last to behold His face in glory.

Amen.
