O Saint Etheldreda,
you were called by name

before the world knew your path.

You kept your vow through hardship and delay,

trusting not in power, but in promise.

Pray for us,
that we may hold fast to purity

in a world of noise,

and build, as you did, a house of light

where Christ is all in all.
