O Saint Ludmila,
steadfast mother of a Christian people,
you showed your grandson Wenceslaus
the path in Christ
and bore family strife
for the sake of the Gospel.
You taught the young to love the Lord,
you bore the danger with steadfast heart,
and you gave your life
that his steps might be sure.
Saint Ludmila of Bohemia
—duchess, martyr, and teacher of the faith.

where Christ is honored
and love does not fail
—where truth is spoken, mercy is known,

your own house
